3D Exterior Rendering Services for Homes and Buildings

Photorealistic exterior views of custom homes, multifamily and commercial buildings, with real materials, landscaping and lighting for approvals, permits and pre-construction sales.

An exterior rendering is usually the first image a client, a buyer or a review board sees of a project. It has to be faithful to the drawings and believable as a photograph at the same time: correct proportions, real materials, credible light and a context that looks like the actual site.

Realidad Arquitectónica produces photorealistic exterior renderings for US architects, home builders and developers from our studio in Guadalajara, Mexico. We work from your drawings, communicate in English, quote in US dollars and keep hours that overlap with US Central Time.

Architectural rendering of a house

For custom homes, remodels and additions we render the elevations that matter: the street view that sells the design, the backyard view that shows the outdoor living space, and any detail the client is unsure about. Homeowners understand a rendering in a way they will never understand a set of elevations, which makes approvals faster and reduces changes during construction. For production builders we render every plan and elevation option in one consistent style; see 3D rendering for home builders.

Architectural rendering of a building

For multifamily, commercial and institutional buildings the rendering has to do two jobs: communicate the design to planning departments and review boards, and sell the project to tenants, buyers or investors. We produce consistent sets of views, from street level to aerial, with the materials, signage and landscaping specified in the drawings. See our aerial and site plan renderings for master plans and larger developments, and our real estate rendering packages for pre-construction sales.

Landscape and context

A building rendered on a white background is a model; a building rendered on its site is a place. We model the surrounding context, grading and landscaping from your site plan and reference photos, and add vehicles, people and vegetation at a realistic scale. If the lot has a view, we use it.

How we work

Send us drawings and references and you get an itemized quote in USD the same business day; our guide to architectural rendering costs explains what the quote covers. We build the 3D model, propose camera angles and send preview views. You review materials, lighting and context, we adjust, and once you approve the previews we deliver the final high-resolution images.

Frequently asked questions about exterior rendering

How much does an exterior rendering cost?

Exterior renderings start at $120 to $200 USD per image, depending on the complexity of the building, the amount of context and landscaping, and the resolution you need. Every quote is itemized in USD before we start.

What files do you need for an exterior rendering?

Floor plans, elevations and sections as PDF, DWG, SketchUp or Revit, plus references for materials and finishes. A site plan or a few photos of the lot help us place the building in a believable context.

Can you show the building at different times of day?

Yes. From the same 3D model we produce daytime, dusk and night views. Dusk views are the most popular for marketing because the interior lighting makes the building glow.

Do you include landscaping and surroundings?

Yes. We add landscaping, hardscape, vehicles, people and neighboring context so the image reads as a finished place, not an isolated model. If you have a landscape plan we follow it.

How do revisions work?

You receive preview views to adjust materials, lighting, camera angles and context before the final render. Final high-resolution images are delivered once you approve the previews.
